The American Simmental Association (ASA) has designated the newly formed Cattlemen’s Congress in Oklahoma City, OK as the 2020-2021 National Simmental Show.

The ASA Board of Trustees met October 5 th to discuss alternative plans due to the postponement of the2021 National Western Stock Show. The Board voted to recognize the Cattlemen’s Congress, heldJanuary 2-17 as the National Simmental Show for the 2020-2021 Show Season. The Congress willserve as a Major PTP Ring of Champions points show as well. This event will showcase some of thegreatest show cattle in the Simmental breed vying for the annual championships.

Also, in January the ASA is recognizing The Nebraskan Livestock Show, which is to be held in GrandIsland, NE, January 13-18, as a Major PTP Ring of Champions points show. Similar to the NationalCattlemen’s Congress, The Nebraskan will highlight some of the breed’s most elite in competition forMajor PTP Ring of Champions show points.
