In order for the National Junior Angus Association to hold shows this summer amidst COVID-19 we ask our juniors, parents and spectators to please read and comply with the following rules to ensure state standards are met and that your safety is kept as the top priority. Please refer to the following rules for the upcoming National Junior Angus Show July 19-25, 2020.
Summer show season changes
No fit show: This will be a “blow and go” show. Grooming or fitting with foreign material that includes (but not limited to) painting, powdering, oiling, artificial coloring or adhesives is prohibited. Sheen, fly spray and oil is permitted. Going to this format will eliminate the need for additional people to fit cattle during the show and allow for more social distancing due to COVID-19 requirements. Association staff will follow the Breeder’s Reference Guide 800 Show Rules for protocol if the above guidelines are not met.
Stalling: Exhibitors will be stalled as a family with appropriate distance between tack areas.
Ring side spectators: Ring side seats will be limited. Spectators will be encouraged to watch the show via webcasted screens throughout the grounds or online. For more information, read the full guidelines online.
